Christ Church Kitsilano began as a small Baptist church plant called The Bridge with the CNBC in Kitsilano in 2001, with a vision to bless the neighbourhood of Kitsilano by preaching, teaching, and living the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2017, The congregation of The Bridge joined together with a group sent from Christ City Church to be replanted at Fifth Avenue Cinema as Christ City Kitsilano, within the Christ City network of churches.

By God’s grace, this was a wonderful season of growth for us and it led to us launching yet again as mature, established, neighbourhood church in 2026 under the name of Christ Church Kitsilano. Many things have changed over these three stages of our growth. But what has not changed is our commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the good of our city, as a local neighborhood church. We look forward to many years to come of fruitful work for Christ
